Midwest. With clients

United States,
CITCA regularly turns to SWA for all of
it’s safety training, from basic OSHA
compliance programs through hi-tech
vertical rescue training and more.

County
Regional Office of Education, IL-
The
largest school district in the State of
Illinois, they turned to SWA with
concerns over the national increase in
acts of school violence. SWA provided
training for their educators in
classroom aggression management, and is
now a regular training agency for the
district.

Community College,
IL-
This
community college, located in the south
suburbs of
Chicago called upon SWA to perform a
vulnerability assessment after several
minor security breeches on the campus.
SWA performed a comprehensive
assessment, and provided direction to
the Safety Committee in making changes
that improved campus security and
strengthen perceptions on the campus. |

Marshalltown
Community School District,
IA-
Concerned about security risks in their
schools, this central
Iowa school district asked SWA to
conduct comprehensive security
assessments in all 12 public schools,
plus the administration building and the
transportation building.
In less than 30 days, we
conducted the assessments, met with
their administrators, and had a
comprehensive written report on the
superintendent’s desk. |

111, IL-
With workers compensation costs
spiraling as a result of an increase in
frequency and severity of job related
injuries, this large Illinois school
district turned to SWA to help them
rebuild their safety program,
and implement the changes in all of
their 14 schools. This included program
design, written program development,
safety assessments, training, and
implementation. In the first year, the
district recognized a reduction of over
$250,000 in losses.

Newark School District, NJ
-
SWA team members
Provided security design
criteria, engineering and
design, bid development and
review for all Newark Public
Schools (82 schools) and for a
new Central Monitoring Station.
School incidents reports were
reviewed and a series of
countermeasure levels were
developed and applied as design
criteria. Technical
specifications, drawings, and
estimated costs for each school
and a central monitoring station
were developed. Systems include
card reader access control,
CCTV, perimeter and interior
intrusion detection, perimeter
and interior electromagnetic
locking, and communications
between each school and the new
proprietary central monitoring
station. All school systems are
now integrated, and will be
monitored and controlled from a
head end console at each school,
and the central monitoring
station.
Pace University, NY -
Initial assignment related to a
Vulnerability Assessment
specifically aimed at Access
Control both to the residential
and faculty campuses.
Recommendations involved degree
of electronic access control
with a central Security
Management system and control of
all main exterior doors for the
academic and administration
areas as well as residential
dormitories.
EIIA, Inc-
The Educational and
Institutional Insurance
Administrators (EIIA) sought out
a qualified consultant to enter
into a relationship for
performing security
vulnerability assessments on the
campuses of their member
colleges and university. After
evaluating several vendors, they
selected SWA based on
reputation, references, and
value. SWA has since worked
closely with several EIIA member
facilities across the nation,
performing security
vulnerability assessments,
system design and engineering,
and developing model public
safety programs for their
campuses.
The list
goes on and on. Campus officials
know how critical security has
become. Leaders are held
accountable to the Board,
students, parents, and the
community. One adverse event
can cost a person their
