Aggression Management

SWA is proud to have become nationally recognized for our programs in workplace violence prevention and aggression management. Our program The Essentials of Aggression Management in Healthcare: From Talkdown to Takedown takes a new and unique approach to developing scenarios for dealing with the various stages of aggression. Each student in our program is taken through an “aggression continuum”, where they learn to identify six specific changes in behavior that lead to violence, and defuse the aggression from each level before violence erupts.

Since developing this program, SWA instructors have trained thousands of healthcare professionals across the nation, allowing them to recognized and defuse the aggression long before it becomes violent.
